Underdog - Season 1 - Eps 28: From Hopeless To Helpless, Part 1
O.J. Skweez comes to Sweet Polly Purebred with news about the Hopeless Diamond being worn at a party. Knowing that some crook is going to steal it, O.J. suggests that Polly will go to the party disguised as a waitress so she gets the first report of the theft. Meanwhile, Riff Raff also gets the news and plans to do the same thing exactly - disguise as a waiter to steal the diamond. Someone also gives Shoeshine Boy the news, telling him that he will have lots of shoes to shine at the party, although, Shoeshine Boy decides to go knowing there will be danger that will call for Underdog. At the party, Riff Raff unfortunately reveals himself when he runs into Polly. He takes Polly to the kitchen and decides to replace the Hopeless Diamond with ice. The lady who wears the diamond freaks out which sends in Underdog, who tells her that her diamond is actually ice. Meanwhile, Riff Raff (and his henchman Mooch) puts Polly in a car and rolls her downward.

Synopsis
Underdog, also known as The Underdog Show, is an American Saturday morning animated television series that ran from October 3, 1964, to March 4, 1967, starting on the NBC network until 1966, with the rest of the run on CBS, under the primary sponsorship of General Mills, for a run of 62 episodes. It is one of the early Saturday morning cartoons. The show continued in syndication until 1973. Underdog, Shoeshine Boy's heroic alter ego, appears whenever love interest Sweet Polly Purebred is being victimized by such villains as Simon Bar Sinister or Riff Raff. Underdog nearly always speaks in rhyming couplets, as in "There's no need to fear, Underdog is here!"
